Savings

Your money works while you do.

Your earnings stay in your wallet, in USD, earning interest until you need them. No separate account, no moving money out of your bank.

Savings and investment services provided through licensed partners.

Getting paid in a currency that slips means your earnings shrink while they sit, before you have spent a thing.

Holding USD is the hedge most contractors cannot easily reach. Here it is the default: your balance stays in dollars until you decide to move it.

How it works

Three steps, all inside the wallet you already use to get paid.

1
Your invoice is paid

The money lands in your Omnivoo wallet in USD, yours from that moment.

2
It sits in your USD vault

Move part or all of your balance into the savings vault, a USD sub-wallet held in dollars.

3
It earns until you need it

Interest accrues on the balance you hold [TODO: confirm accrual frequency in-app], until you withdraw or spend it.

What the vault does

A place to hold dollars, earn on them, and reach them when you want.

$
Hold in USD

Keep your earnings in a USD balance instead of converting to a currency that can lose value while it sits. Built for stability between invoices.

IN
Earn interest

Your USD balance earns interest while it waits in the vault. The rate is shown in-app.

AS
Auto-Save

Route a set share of each invoice straight into savings, so it happens without a decision every time. [TODO: confirm Auto-Save exists in-app]

WD
Withdraw anytime

Move money out of the vault and back to your spendable balance when you need it. [TODO: confirm no lock-in in-app]

Who this is for

Contractors in countries where the local currency swings, across Latin America, Africa and South Asia, who earn in dollars and want those dollars to stay dollars between invoices. If your pay loses value in the gap between earning it and spending it, holding USD is the point.

Questions

Is there a lock-in?

The savings vault is designed for money you want to hold, not lock away. [TODO: confirm no lock-in in-app]

What currency is my savings balance in?

US dollars. The vault is a USD sub-wallet inside your Omnivoo wallet, so the balance you save is held in dollars rather than your local currency.

How is interest calculated?

Your USD balance in the vault earns interest, shown in-app. The rate is variable and subject to change, and we do not publish a figure here because it can move. Accrual frequency: [TODO: confirm accrual frequency in-app].

Who provides the savings service?

Savings and investment services are provided through licensed partners. Omnivoo surfaces the feature inside your wallet; the regulated financial service sits with the partner.

Is my money insured?

Custody and any protection of funds are governed by the partner's terms, not by Omnivoo. [TODO: get exact partner custody language]

Do I need a separate account to save?

No. The vault lives inside the wallet you already have. Once your identity and tax forms are verified for payouts, the same verification powers savings, so there is no second signup.

Hold your earnings in dollars.

Open your wallet, get paid, and keep what you earn in USD until you need it.
