Delete your Omnivoo account
You can ask us to delete your Omnivoo account from inside the app, or by email. This page explains how, what we remove, and what we are required to keep.
From the Omnivoo app
- Open Omnivoo and sign in.
- Go to Profile. Employees find it on Edit Profile, and contractors under Profile → Security.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Tell us why if you want to, then tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. We show you a reference number for the request.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email contact@omnivoo.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on the request.
What we delete
Once we have processed the request we remove:
- Your name, email address, phone number and postal address
- Your profile photo
- Your login details, passkeys and active sessions
- Messages you sent in the app
- Notification and language preferences
What we have to keep, and for how long
Omnivoo runs payroll and pays contractors, so some records are ours to keep by law rather than by choice. Deleting your account does not remove them.
- Payroll and employment records, including payslips, Form 16 and statutory filings such as PF, ESI and TDS. Kept for a minimum of 8 years after the end of the employment relationship, as required by Indian labour and tax laws.
- Financial records, including invoices and transaction records. Kept for a minimum of 8 years under the Indian Companies Act and the Income Tax Act.
- Contractor tax documents, such as W-8BEN and W-8BEN-E forms and 1042-S withholding records. Kept for the form validity period plus the applicable statute of limitations.
- Identity verification records where anti-money laundering rules require our payout partners to hold them.
These records are kept only to meet those obligations. They are not used to contact you or for any other purpose once your account is closed.
How long it takes
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days. Because payroll and tax records need checking before an account is closed, a person reviews each request rather than it happening automatically. We email you when it is done.
If you are an employee or a contractor
Your employer holds its own copy of the employment or engagement records that relate to you, and those are the employer's to manage. Deleting your Omnivoo account does not delete their records. Ask your employer directly about those.
